This series is about changes in a perceived and displayed image from the same subject. These registrations are also made with a predetermined time interval. With every new registration, made in acrylic on panel, I have shifted my viewing direction in a vertical line, which resulted in a shifting horizon.

The work is a combination of 10 separate parts made from the same point of view in 10 consecutive days. Each following day an hour later. My line of sight is also different with every work, which resulted in a changing horizon.

The work was created amid the ruins of what was once an amphitheatre belonging to the remains of the city of Gortys located in the Messara plain on Crete. The work is made from the same point of view and is a combination of 10 separate parts made in 10 consecutive days with an hour time difference every day. My viewing direction was oriented to the East and in my field of vision the remains of a Roman amphitheatre were visible. My line of sight is also different with every work, which resulted in a changing horizon.

Historical Landscape, Moerenburg.

2019

Moerenburg is a swampy valley located on the edge of the east side of Tilburg. It takes its name from a castle farm (burght) that stood here in the 14th century. Remnants of habitation from the Bronze Age have also been found at this location. Method. This work is a collage consisting of 10 parts, each new image is made from a shifting horizon and observed at a different time. 5 parts are made in 5 days at 8:00 AM, and 5 parts in the following 5 days at 6:00
